C-Store Has Drive-Thru, Handicapped Entrance
Customers are rejoicing at the Grand Opening of the Rock Branch Sheetz-located at the corner of Routes 25 and 62 next to Rock Branch Elementary School.
Putnam County's newest C-Store opened Thursday morning, June 6th, 2013, bringing 24/7/365 service-including diesel, gasoline, fast-food, an automatic car wash, indoor cafe-with free "wifi."
For the "differently-abled" automatic doors for those with canes, walkers, and wheel-chairs. Wider aisles make it easy for everyone to navigate the store.
Sheetz doesn't allow any of the store's 30 employees to talk with the news media. Indoor photography is also not allowed. However, PutnamLIVE.com can report to you that plenty of familiar faces have transferred from Scott Depot to staff the new Sheetz, including Manager Dennis Walters.
"This store is awesome," says Lori Campbell, who is visiting family, in Poca, from Lexington, Kentucky. "I wish we had Sheetz at home."
"I've been a Sheetz customer since I went to WVU," says David Kearns, who now lives in Bancroft. "Their made-to-order food is great! And I didn't even have to get out of my car."
This is the third Putnam County Sheetz. A Teays Valley Sheetz is under construction.
The first Putnam County Sheetz opened, in Hurricane, in 2009.
The Scott Depot Sheetz opened in 2011.
