The Winfield Middle School football team has an opportunity to achieve                             something of which                                   most children only                                     dream. Winfield will                                   take the field                                       Saturday for their                                      conference                                       championship with a                                  spotless 8-0 record                                       and a chance to be perfect.

Winfield has overpowered opponents with a quick-strike offense and a stifling defense. Led this year by alternating team captains from the 20 eighth graders on the roster, the Generals have only allowed two opponents to score while averaging 36.5 points per game. Defensively the Generals only give up 2.5 points per game.
