STOWERS HOSTS CAMPAIGN PICNIC
Circuit Judge Candidate Provides Free Lunch
By Mark Hallburn

Putnam County workers were treated to a free catered lunch by                                       Circuit Judge                                          candidate Phillip M.                               Stowers Wednesday.

Delicious barbeque                                sandwiches, hot dogs,                                 cole slaw, fresh                                    watermelon, ice-cold                                soda and bottled water highlighted the buffet as Stowers and his loyal volunteers rolled up their sleeves and served hungry workers who stopped by for some great food.

Stowers is hoping to be working with the courtroom staffers after the November 4th general election. The Teays Valley attorney is running for the Circuit Judge seat currently held by Norbert "Ed" Eagloski, who recently received an "adequate" (low) rating from the West Virginia Bar Association, below the good rating assessed for Stowers. Eagloski's rating is the lowest of the Putnam County Circuit Judges that were running for office this year. Stowers is the second highest, with O.C. "Hobby" Spaulding leading the poll.
