ROBB: Parties Trying To Dictate Nominee
Congressional Candidate Touts Experience
Press release courtesy of Bryan Young
Robb For Congress

At a recent Meet the Candidates forum former eight-term South                                Charleston Mayor,                                    Richie Robb, seeking                                   the Democratic Party’s                             nomination to West                                  Virginia’s Second                                 Congressional District                                said, “the purpose of                                  primary elections is to                               allow the people to                                 chose their nominees,                                 not political bosses.”                               Robb states, “the party establishment both in Washington, DC and in Charleston is trying to dictate the party’s nominee in this congressional campaign.” “The problem we have currently is party bosses dictating to Shelley Moore Capito what to do.  This election should be about more than exchanging one political boss for another.”

Robb says he is experienced as the only candidate seeking this nomination, who has ever been elected to public office.  Robb was elected Mayor of South Charleston, the district’s third largest city eight consecutive terms from 1975 to 2007.  Robb said he is the only candidate who has ever served in elective office - 32 years.  “I have a proven record of performance in elective office and can do more than just utter bland platitudes while marching to the tune of political bosses.”
