Putnam County Schools

School closings due to inclement weather have prompted Putnam
County Schools to
alter their school
calendar. The last
instructional day for
students will now be
June 7th, 2010.

Putnam schools have
been closed for four full instructional days, because of icy roads, so far this school year. These days will be made up at the end of the school year, but because of legislative mandates for ending school, no other days may be made up.

Cancellations have also resulted in changing the date to end the first semester, which is now January 20th, 2010. The second semester will begin on Thursday, January 21st, 2010.

Spring Break for students will remain as scheduled.
