THE PASTOR'S CORNER... By David Stauffer
Contagious Relationships

Luke 5:27-31 "After                                  this, Jesus went out                                     and saw a tax collector                                by the name of Levi                                    sitting at his tax booth.
Follow me," Jesus said                                 to him, and Levi got                                     up, left everything and                               followed him. Then                                     Levi held a great
banquet for Jesus at                                   his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to His disciples, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and 'sinners?" Jesus answered them, "It is not the healthy who need doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

Four Spiritual Relationship Observations:

1.  Jesus saw Spiritual POTENTIAL in Matthew.

2. Matthew saw a Spiritual OPPORTUNITY for His Friends.

3. The Pharisees saw Spiritual OBSTACLES for Matthew's friends.

4. Jesus saw a Spiritual STRATEGY for sin-sick and lost people.

John 12:31-33   "Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself."  He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die."
