LILLY HOSTS CORNBREAD AND BEANS
Supporters Hold Rally Out On The Farm

As the sweet sound of country music and the delicious smell of                                   home-cooked beans                                 drifted through the air,                             supporters of                                   Republican Putnam                                  County Commissioner                          challenger Jerry Lilly                                rallied Saturday                                   afternoon.

It is fitting that Lilly and friends would brave the April rain for an outdoor dinner, after all, Lilly and friends, including Jim McGee and the "Mother of the Putnam County parks system," Sally Holliday, dedicated decades of volunteer work as Putnam County Parks and Recreation Commissioners.

Lilly is running against incumbent Stephen H. Andes, one of the Putnam County Commissioners that ousted him, McGee, Holliday, and others from the board in 2005 in a blatant display of bad politics. However, Sunday, Lilly kept the political talk positive, refusing to say anything negative about his opponent.

Instead, Lilly chose to focus on what he can offer after decades of public service to Putnam County.

"This is a great place to live," says Lilly. "Putnam County is a great place to raise a family and a great place to work. I want to help make things even better."

In addition to Parks and Recreation volunteerism, Lilly is a retired engineer and plans to work full-time as a Putnam County Commissioner.
