Rosalee Juba-Plumley, long term local Putnam County attorney, and long term civic leader, filed for Division 2 Circuit Judge in Putnam County. Filing as a Democrat, this places her in a Primary Election battle with current Judge, O. C. "Hobby" Spaulding.
Juba-Plumley graduated from Marshall University in 1982 and the West Virginia University College of Law in 1985.
Since graduation from law school, she has practiced law in Putnam County. Her practice has for 23 years primarily been a litigation practice. During that 23 years, Juba-Plumley has participated in practically all types of legal matters and has represented diverse viewpoints on most issues.
Juba-Plumley believes her varied and extensive litigation practice has more than prepared her for a stint on the bench.
In addition to her decades of service to the people of Putnam County in the legal arena, Juba-Plumley has devoted a significant percentage of her time to civic and community volunteerism. Active in 4-H, supporting sports and musical teams, Counsel to the Fair Board, and a member of Parks and Recreation Commission, Juba-Plumley believes that it is important for people in the legal profession to show the community that lawyers really do care about their neighbors. She believes it is also important in her career and to be a good Judge to know and understand your community and finds that the best way to get that knowledge and understanding is to be involved with your neighbors in community projects.
