One of Putnam County's cafe's failed to make the grade during a                                     recent kitchen                                   inspection, records say.                              The Riverside Cafe,                                   near Winfield, was                                      cited for 10 health                                     code violations during                                    a routine inspection                                      May 27th by Sanitarian                                 Shawn Savage.

Four of the violations were "Critical," according to the inspection report posted above this story.

The 4 "Critical" violations are:

  1. Food out of temp. (Put in walk-in cooler)

  2. Utensils not clean. - Put to wash.

  3. Improper glove usage.

  4. Did not wash hands.

All of the "Critical" violations were immediately corrected.

PutnamLIVE.com called The Riverside Cafe for comment about the inspection report. A voice mail answered the call. As of this publication, the message has not been returned.

Publisher's note:
All inspections are provided by the Putnam County Health Department which chooses which facilities to inspect. Any questions about the inspections should be directed to Administrator Jacqueline Fleshman at 304-757-2541.
