ICES SEEKS HOST FAMILIES FOR STUDENTS
"Bringing The World To Putnam County     One Smile At A Time..."

You have the wonderful opportunity to learn about another culture while you teach a
student about the culture of

West Virginia.

ICES, International
Cultural Exchange Services,
is seeking host families in
Putnam County who are

interested in sharing an
academic semester or year
with a qualified student.

It is an extremely rewarding experience for host families, schools and the community.  ICES students are well screened, provide their own spending money, have full medical insurance and have access to a local ICES area representative. Although the experience is only for a short period of time, host families will experience new friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. Make your world come alive!

Founded in 1991, ICES is an official exchange visitor program designated by the US Department of State and has a full listing with the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel. ICES has helped promote a more peaceful world by advancing international awareness and cultural understanding to thousands of exchange students during the past 15 years.  ICES relocated its international student admissions office to Putnam County from San Francisco two years ago.  President, John Crist is a Putnam County native.  ICES is proud to be the first official exchange program to have a full time office staff in the state of West Virginia.  ICES works in 48 counties and places students in all 50 states.

Since its beginning, ICES has been recognized as a quality midsized student exchange program. ICES has established a successful history managing student exchange operations. ICES is acknowledged as providing superior exchange programs and personalized service. ICES' success is based on delivering more than expected and using all of its resources to ensure optimum satisfaction. The ICES goal is not necessarily to increase in size, but to specialize and personalize services without lowering quality standards.

ICES is asking West Virginia families to open their homes and their hearts to these very special children. For more information, please call 1-800-344-3566 or visit the ICES website at www.ICESUSA.org. Bring the world a little closer to home by hosting an exchange student with ICES!
