FORD DRESSES UP FOR DIBELS
Second Grader Is Looking Good
News release

Putnam County Schools

Putnam County elementary student Wyatt Ford takes his
responsibilities as a
second grader at
Conner Street
Elementary seriously.

On a recent January
day, Wyatt knew he
would be completing
the mid-year
benchmark assessment
DIBELS, Dynamic
Indicators of Basic
Early Literacy Skills,
which Putnam County
Schools uses to
measure reading
proficiency. In order to
do his best on the test, besides getting plenty of rest and good nutrition, Wyatt asked his parents if he could wear a tie to school.

“I dressed up for DIBELS,” he said with a grin.

To Wyatt’s way of thinking, it’s never too early to dress for success!
