FARLEY RUNNING FOR SHERIFF AGAIN
Termed Out in '04, Farley Cites Experience

After eight years of working hard to improve the Putnam County Sheriff's                       Department, Sheriff                                  Stan Farley wasn't                               allowed to run for                                 another term. A West                               Virginia term limit law                             made him sit out a                               frustrating four years.

November 4th, Farley                              wants voters to give                                  him back the job he                                     did so well.

"I want to bring the                             Sheriff's Department                                    back to what it once                                    was," says Farley. "I                                     want to restore the programs that helped fight crime and helped kids stay out of trouble."

And Farley says his eight years of experience as Sheriff, 20 years as a West Virginia State Police Trooper, and lifetime Putnam County residency make him the most qualified man for the job."

"I know Putnam County," Farley says. "I grew up here. I've fought crime here. I will be tough on criminals, drugs, and drunk drivers. Our families deserve a safe Putnam County."

Farley wants to bring back the:

"They used to tell me that they didn't want to live that way," Farley says. "And their mothers would tell me that the prison tour turned their attitudes in the right direction."

Sending kids the right message starts when they are young, says Farley. "You have to reach kids early. Build a trust. Build a bond. Nothing is worse than to lose a child to criminal activity. It's a waste of talent, and costs society in many ways, not just money."

A family man, Farley is the father of an adult daughter, Joney, as well as a seven-year-old son, Stanley Jackson, who he personally picks up from school every day. When Stanley Jackson isn't in class, you'll often find him at his father's side.

"Families are the glue that holds us together," Farley says. "Keeping them safe is one of the biggest reasons to fight crime."

In addition, Farley supports the:

While Stan Farley is tough on crime, he also believes the best way to fight crime is to prevent crime. It's good for society and it's good for families.

"Sending a parent to jail destroys families," Farley says. "Kids lose a dad or a mom, and a role model. Often, families lose their home. All of that is bad and avoidable. It's better to keep crime from happening in the first place."

The general election is November 4th. Stan Farley would appreciate your vote.
