The Poca Dots made the long trek down I 64, route 152 to play The                               Wayne Pioneers                                    Tuesday night                                      January 29th, 2008.

The Dots came out                                       as hot as firecrackers                                after the long drive                                      on that windy road.                                  Poca jumped on                                          Wayne in the first quarter 20 - 4  Wayne came back to take the 2nd quarter 25 - 17 and cut Poca's lead to 8 ( 37 - 29 ) points at halftime. The Dots led 55 - 43 after three quarters of play. And the two teams tied 18 - 18 in the final quarter and Poca white washed the Pioneers 73 - 60.

It was just too much of Poca's sensational sophomore and All-Stater Noah Cottrill who had a game-high 40 points and a game-high 15 rebounds for a double-double. He came near a triple as he also dished off 8 assists.

Poca's sensational junior Matt Orcutt, also an All-State candidate had 13 points with some beautiful assists. He also crashed the boards for many rebounds.

Junior Blake Smith had 10 points and crashed the boards for 10 rebounds for a double-double.

Senior Seth Martin also had a fine game with 9 points and crashed the boards hard.

Junior Brian Sigman had a great game also with one point and had some nice passes.

Poca is now 11 - 4 on the season and Coach Allen Osborne has done a fine job with his boys this year with help from Coach Rick Cottrill. Allen now has 454 career wins 243 loses his teams have won 12 cardinal conference championships 15 Putnam County Titles (including this year handing no. 1 Winfield its lone lose for that title), 4 regional Titles 1 State Championship in 1997 and a State runner-up in 2002.
