CONVERSE TO COORDINATE VET'S PARADE
Putnam Businessman Lending A Hand  
News release

 

Putnam County’s Edward Ben Converse, Past Commander of Post                                       20 Legionnaire is                                        Parade Coordinator for                                    the 2008 Veterans’                                    Day Parade. 

The Charleston parade                               will have near fifty                         participating units                                featuring a mini C-130                                 and is scheduled to                                    set off at 10:00 a.m.,                                   Tuesday, November                                      11th, 2008. 

The units will stage on                            Kanawha Boulevard,                                 East near Haddad                                    Riverfront Park and                                    will proceed east on Kanawha Boulevard, East to Capitol Street, north on Capitol Street to Quarrier Street, west on Quarrier Street to Court Street, south on Court Street to Kanawha Boulevard, East ending at Haddad Riverfront Park, where there will be a short ceremony honoring all our past and present servicemen. There will be a C-130 flyover at 11:00 am by the 130th Airlift Wing. 

Families, children, veterans and all are encouraged to join us for this years event honoring our veterans!

According to Converse, The 2008 Parade will be even bigger and better.
