BUS DRIVERS THANK WINFIELD POLICE
Officers Are Treated To Deli Tray For Lunch

It's been said that being a police officer is "A thankless job." Too                                    often that's the case.

However, in Winfield,                                  Friday, officers                                        received a surprise                                   "Thank you" from                                       some Putnam County                                  Schools bus drivers                                        who say they couldn't transport students without those officer's daily assistance.

"We just wanted to show our appreciation for the police being out there every single day helping us out," says Sherry Ricks. "Every single day, they are faithful. We couldn't do it if they weren't there."

That appreciation goes both ways.

"We really appreciate all of the bus drivers and we enjoy being able to go out and helping them to get the students home safely," says Lucas.  "We appreciate the fact that they think about us and we will enjoy a nice sandwich today."
