What do you do when your husbands are in the
Middle East and
heading home in
February? You throw
them the "Mother of
all Welcome Home
Banquets."
Which is exactly what
the wives of B-Troop
are planning. To pay for a welcome home that their soldiers will
never forget, they held a fundraiser October 24th at Teays Valley
Church of God.
"Spititual Gifts" with Willie Ellison, Roy Elswick, and Sherry Hayes headlined a concert after everyone enjoyed a delicious spaghetti dinner in the church's fellowship hall. Vendors sold candles, gifts, and Tupperware in the lobby as Putnam County came out to support B-Troop.
"We so much appreciate everyone coming out," says organizer Malisa DeWeese. "Because of everyone's generosity, we can show the guys how much we love them."
When DeWeese announces the Welcome Home Banquet, PutnamLIVE.com will share the date and time with you. Until then, we gratefully say "Thank you for your service, B-Troop!"
